18/9 2026

After more than three decades at the helm of Idé-Pro, founder and CEO Morten Nors has decided to step down as CEO of the company at the end of 2026. He will be succeeded by Thomas Bassøe, who takes over as the new CEO on 1 December 2026. Morten Nors will remain affiliated with SP Group as a consultant.

Morten Nors founded Idé-Pro in Skive in 1994 together with his brother. Over the past 32 years, the company has grown from a local business into one of Europe's leading suppliers of functional prototypes and on-demand production parts, today employing around 300 people across sites in Skive and Glyngøre, sales offices in Sweden, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, and a subsidiary in Bangalore, India. Idé-Pro is now part of SP Group, the publicly listed Danish plastics group headquartered in Søndersø.

"It has been 32 fantastic years, during which we, together with the whole team, have built Idé-Pro into a company I am immensely proud of. Now is the time to hand over the baton, and I'm glad we have found such a strong profile as Thomas to lead the company into its next phase. At the same time, I look forward to continuing my association with SP Group as a consultant," says Morten Nors.

Thomas Bassøe joins from a position as General Manager at Cubic-Modulsystem A/S. He has previously held roles including Managing Director and Factory Director at Codan Tech A/S, Senior Project Manager at NNE, and several positions at Ambu A/S. Thomas Bassøe holds an engineering background from the Technical University of Denmark and Copenhagen Business School, as well as an MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, and brings solid experience in manufacturing, product development and quality management to his new role as CEO of Idé-Pro.

"I'm very much looking forward to building on the strong foundation that Morten and the rest of the team have established over the years. Idé-Pro holds a unique position in the market, and I look forward to developing the company further together with our employees and customers," says Thomas Bassøe.

"With his entrepreneurial spirit and vision, Morten has built Idé-Pro into a highly impressive company over more than 30 years. We are pleased that he will remain affiliated with SP Group as a consultant, and we have great confidence that Thomas Bassøe, with his experience, will further develop Idé-Pro in close collaboration with the rest of the group," says Lars Bering, CEO of SP Group and Chairman of the Board of Idé-Pro.

From 1 December through the turn of the year, Morten Nors and Thomas Bassøe will work closely together on the handover, ensuring customers and partners experience full continuity in their relationship with Idé-Pro.
