Idé-Pro injection moulds plastic parts from 0.01 grams to 41.5 kg on more than 50 machines with a clamping force from 6 to 4,000 tonnes, and has done so since 1997. We offer injection moulding of functional prototypes and series production from 200 parts per year, depending on your needs.
We can mould almost all plastic types, including engineering plastics such as PPS, PSU and PEEK, with the exception of PVC and silicone. Our in-house tool shop and plastics production in Denmark run 24/7, ensuring short lead times and high flexibility regardless of part size or plastic type.
For prototypes, we produce tools in aluminium, which are faster and more cost-effective to make than a traditional production tool in steel. The prototypes are injection moulded in the right process and material, and are fully functional with the same properties as the final product. This means they can be tested for material choice, part design and sales potential.
The prototype tools can often also be used for pre-series or start-up production, so you can move on to production, without having to switch supplier or invest in a production tool before you actually need it.
Standard lead time for injection moulded prototypes is 3-6 weeks (10-12 weeks for large and complex parts). With Fast Track, lead time can be reduced to 1-3 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the part.

Steel tools for special requirements
In some cases, however, a steel tool is the best solution – for example for special materials such as PEEK, specific additives, very high volumes, highly complex parts or parts with complex surface requirements. In these cases, we of course also offer injection moulding in traditional steel tools.

We recycle surplus plastic from our own production through in-house compounding, where crushed plastic is blended with additives and colour and turned into new plastic granulate with the desired properties, ready for injection moulding again.

Idé-Pro manufactures injection moulding tools in-house. An injection moulding tool is the mould used in the production process and consists of a fixed and a moving part. Molten plastic material is injected into the cavity between the two parts, cools and solidifies, after which the tool opens and the part is ejected.
Yes. Idé-Pro manufactures injection moulding tools in-house in our own tool shop in Skive. The facility is equipped with fully automated milling machines and robots, and we have the capacity to produce up to 20 tools per week across injection moulding, high pressure die casting and EPS/EPP moulding on 3- to 6-axis milling machines with dimensions up to 2,100 x 4,000 x 1,200 mm and up to 20 T. Once the tool is finished, it is assembled and prepared by a toolmaker.
