Idé-Pro's history

Since the company's founding in 1994, Idé-Pro has experienced rapid growth. Below you will find a brief outline of our history.

1994

Idé-Pro Skive A/S was founded by Tommy Nors and Morten Nors as an engineering and trading company in the attic of their home on Frederiksdal Allé in Skive. In addition to its management, three employees were hired.

1996

The first milling machines were purchased and set up in a rented space on Nordhavnsvej in Skive, Denmark.

1997

The first plastic moulding machines were purchased. The company has six employees.

1999

The company was expanding rapidly and we bought a warehouse on Krabbesholm Allé in Skive, Denmark. After a major refurbishment, it was set up to accommodate the company's many activities.

2000

Idé-Pro was awarded the Danish Work Initiative Award.

2001

Two more warehouses were acquired in Skive, Denmark. These were set up for production, office space, training activities and assembly.

2004

Subsidiary and construction department Idé-Pro Engineering Asia Pvt. Ltd. started up in Bangalore, India with CAD and CAM engineers. India was chosen because there are many highly qualified engineers there who speak English well and whose values line up well with Danish values. Through collaboration with our Indian subsidiary, we can match and exceed similar Chinese-based companies. 

2004

Idé-Pro was awarded Skive's Business Award.

2004

Idé-Pro was awarded Nordea's Business Award.

2006

Two more warehouses were acquired in Denmark and used as high-bay warehouses.

2006

Sales of software and Engineering Services as well as training activities were combined in a subsidiary: Idé-Pro Engineering & Software.

2008

An EPS foundry was set up in a separate building in Denmark.

2009

Idé-Pro took over all activities in the Danish company Temponik A/S and established the Temponik Skive A/S subsidiary.

2010

Idé-Pro was awarded Skive Municipality's Integration Award.

2010

Idé-Pro took over all activities of the local company Svend Andersen Værktøj A/S.

2010

Idé-Pro gained ISO 9001 certification.

2011

Idé-Pro combined its tool production, plastic and light metal foundry, EPS production and administration in buildings totalling 11,000 m² in Skive, Denmark. We had approximately 100 employees in Skive.

2012

Idé-Pro expanded with an additional 1,200 m² of warehouse and assembly space in Skive.

2012

Idé-Pro received Dansk Industri's local Initiative Award for innovation, customer focus and retention of local production and jobs.

2013

Idé-Pro Engineering Asia Pvt. Ltd. moved to larger premises and now includes CAD, CAM and CAE engineers, a sales office and planning department. All in close collaboration with the head office in Denmark.

2014

Idé-Pro received Skive Municipality's Business Award for their great efforts to give citizens outside the labour market a fresh start.

2014

The first CNC machines were installed in Idé-Pro Engineering Asia Pvt. Ltd. Select tools were manufactured in India and shipped to our in-house foundry in Denmark. Repairs and tool corrections could be made in our Danish tool factory.

2016

Idé-Pro gained ISO 50001 certification.

2016

Idé-Pro expanded with an additional 4000 m² of warehouse and production space in Skive.

2019

We purchased another factory with 10,600 m2 in the town of Glyngøre in Denmark.

2019

Northern Europe's largest injection moulding machine was installed at the Glyngøre factory. The machine can cast plastic items of up to 41.5 kg with a closing force of up to 4000 tons.

2019

We implemented 'Operation Clean Sweep' in production, which strives to prevent plastic granulate from production companies from ending up in the environment.

2019

Idé-Pro partnered with Blue Equity, which shares our values and provides us with a good foundation for continued profitable expansion.

2019

Idé-Pro AB's sales office was opened in a central location in Gothenburg, Sweden.

2019

Idé-Pro gained ISO 14001 certification.

2020

Glyngøre's capacity continues to increase with hybrid electric injection moulding machines. These can cast technical items at high speed and with high precision.

2020

Idé-Pro now has 200 employees. Of these employees, 150 are in Skive, Glyngøre and the sales office in Sweden, and 50 are in Bangalore, India.

2021

We installed a 6-axis milling machine in Skive which can process work pieces of 2100 x 4000 x 1200mm.

2021

As part of a major expansion of our light metal department in Skive, we installed a TF 1350, which can cast items of up to 21.8 kg and a 125T hot chamber zinc machine.

2021

The finishing department in Skive is expanding considerably and now includes a fast and precise Makino A61nx processing machine and an RHBE11/16-L shot-blasting machine.
